Hagafen Napa Valley 2010 Sauvignon Blanc, $14.40-$20.00, 86 points, is one of those wines I liked, then I didn't, then I did, then I didn't. It was almost as if this wine didn't really know what it wanted to be: melon or citrus, crisp or mellow.
Mineral tinted water-color, with warm aromas of melon with hints of citrus carried on a light, an almost thin body.
The aroma sums up the flavor profile with considerable grassiness, but finished nicely on pepper and spice.
We paired this wine with shrimp and sea perch.
I bought the Hagafen Sauv-Blanc at Hannaford's super market.
