Clarendelle Winery Pessac-Leognan 2013 Bordeaux White Wine, $14.44-$16.99, 88 points, poured a polished gold color.
The aroma was an interesting tangerine with hints of pine and mint.
Light-plus body, better than fair acidity, and flavors that mirrored the nose though somewhat weaker, with a good jolt of grapefruit while cold were altogether interesting.
Finished long on intensifying cumquat, white pepper notes, and a respectable 12% alcohol.
Paired adequately with a Key-lime pie dessert.

Great backstory to this wine.
ReplyDeleteVG: unusually so for a Bordeaux! Don't you think?
