St. Clement Vineyards Napa Valley 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, $10.19-$21.99, 88 points, poured a glossy gold color trending straw yellow.
A wonderful honeysuckle aroma was accented with hints of tropical fruit notes and the slightest whiff of petrol.
This was a light-bodied white wine with good acidity, though not as lively as the current Cali Sauvignon Blanc wines, but still quite tasty on the aroma reflective flavors.
Finished fine on the trailing palate, a potent 14.1% alcohol, a hint of Lychee and ginger.
Paired perfectly with my Maine fried whole clams.
