Castello Di Cacchiano 2011 Toscana Rosso (IGT), $15.99-$18.99, 88 points, poured a deep ruby red grading toward a garnet penumbra, clear wine ring, and moderately draped glass.
Aromas of fig, red raspberry, black olives, cedar, and plum were good.
Medium-plus body with food friendly acids, and still supportive tannins managed to deliver interesting flavors of truffles, oak, black cherry, and Orange pekoe tea.
Finished on the fading palate, very long, very dry, and with a big warm 15% alcohol.
