Cecchi 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva (Riserva Di Famiigia) DOCG, $24.64-$32.99, 88 points, poured mostly black moderating to purple/red at the medium fat tears and clear wine ring.
Shy aromas of earth, flowers, and cherry fruit were okay.
Medium-plus body with good acidity and a comfortable underlayment of tannin segued to rich flavors reflective of the aromas.
Finished long and tangy with flavors of plum, mint, red cherry, truffles, subtle spice notes, and a well-integrated 13.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with our pizza supreme.
