Cerulli Spinozzi Torre Migliori 2012 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane

Cerulli Spinozzi (Winery) Torre Migliori (Vineyard) 2012 Montepulciano (Varietal) d'Abruzzo (Appellation) Colline Teramane (Sub zone), $13.99-$16.99, 91 points, poured core black grading a deep purple/red toward the clear wine ring and moderately draped bowl.
Smells began with a hint of funk, but quickly shook that off for aromas of toasty black fruit, iodine, cedar, and a floral vibe.
Near full-bodied with good acidity and supportive fine grainy tannins delivered delicious flavors of cherry cola, black fruit, and red licorice.
Finished long on the trailing palate, intense pepper spices, a hint of mint, and a well-balanced 13.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my spaghetti and beef meatballs.
A total value Italian red wine.
