Roscato Rosso Dolce NV Sweet Red Wine (IGT), $9.99-$12.99, 87 points, poured a medium crystalline ruby red with brief fizzing, a clear rim, and almost no glass sheeting.
Smells of dusty red fruit were quickly supplanted by lovely sweet blueberry and red raspberry jam.
Medium-bodied with good acidity, mild tannins, and a mouth full of complementary effervescence.
Flavors were a straight-forward sweet rendition of cherry cola which carried deep into the medium-sweet finish nuanced with black tea, a hint of citrus, and an appropriate 7% alcohol.
Made for a satisfying aperitif.
