Fattoria Monsanto Fabrizio Bianchi 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva, $18.69-$23.99, 92 points, poured a deep garnet red with a broad brighter penumbra, wide clear wine ring, and dense legs.
Aromas of underbrush, truffle, black tea, cocoa, a floral vibe, and black cherry preserves were magical.
Medium-plus body with enticing textures showed good acidity, firm grainy tannins, and delicious flavors reflective of the aromas.
Finished long on the trailing palate, a bit dry, and easy pepper spices with a warm 14% alcohol.
The best vintage I've tasted.
