Château Malescasse Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc 2010 Red Bordeaux, $22.19-$24.99, 90 points, appears in consonant with other 2010 red Bordeaux wines, though deep ruby and not opaque as some others, however it trends purple/red with a clear rim.The aroma of cinnamon, clove, cedar, and black cherry, though pleasant has a hint of sour plum and coffee-mocha.
Near full bodied, rich and succulent with bright acidity and firm tannin makes for a solid backbone that bodes well for aging.
Black cherry, pomegranate, licorice, and plum notes are nearly bested by the long spicy finish with a hint of heat (14% alcohol) and eucalyptus.
