Emeri De Bortoli Australian Sparkling Pink Moscato, $9.99, 89 points, is peach-pink with only slight effervescence.
Kiwi, pink grapefruit, strawberry, and honeysuckle on the nose is very good.
A crisp light body with ample acidity seems to fly in the face of a fairly sweet wine.
Flavors follow the aroma, but culminated in a rather sticky cotton-candy experience (8% alcohol).
Still, paired with my Key-Lime pie, this wine easily beat out a Riesling and a Sauvignon Blanc for first place, and in fact, paired with the Key-Lime pie, made for an excellent dessert wine.
I bought this wine at the Hannaford's Supermarket in Londonderry.

Hmmm. Should have saved this for St. Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThe picture was taken with Valentine's Day in mind, but I never got around to tasting it, but when I bought this incredible Key-Lime pie, I just had a need to pair it.
