Firesteed Oregon 2012 Pinot Gris, $8.95-$13.99, 86 points, begins bright and brassy in color.
Cold, the aroma is more melon-like, but as this Pinot Gris warms it transitions toward pear.
Nearing medium bodied and more viscous than the Sauvignon Blanc fare as of late, not as acidic, nor as crisp, but more fruity with hints of apple, pear, and peach.
Finishes long on green apple, spice, and warmth (13.7% alcohol).
