Sequin Delicately Bubbled 2011 Pinot Grigio, $10.99$12.99, 87 points, appeared a light brass color, but trended gray from the core.
Pear and green melon aroma dominated.
The near medium body carried good acidity and a bit of sweetness with a touch of effervescence, while the palate mirrored the nose.
Finished on the trailing palate with almost no hint of the 9.5% alcohol and an enduring mint.
I'm not saying that this is my style of Pinot Grigio, but I certainly wasn't put out in any way, and this white wine did pair well with my sautéed Sea scallops and green salad.
