Criterion Collection 2011 Chianti Classico

Criterion Collection 2011 Chianti Classico, $11.79-$12.99, 87 points, poured a deep maroon grading pomegranate red toward the broad clear wine ring.
Aromas were shy red cherry with a floral component.
Barely medium-bodied with appropriate acidity and easy-supportive tannin.
Flavors of cherries, truffles, and cranberries were straightforward, but quite good.
Finished long on the trailing palate, warm spices, a hint of citrus, and food-friendly 13% alcohol.
Paired fine with my rare spiced filet mignon and garden salad.
I bought this Chianti at the Whole Foods of Bedford.
