Juggernaut Hillside 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, $15.29-$22.99, 89 points, was a deep Burgundy red with purple highlights, light red and clear penumbras, and thin stained sheeting.
Aromatic fruit forward with nuanced cedar and rose notes were quite nice.
Full round-bodied red wine with lush/rich flavors reflective of the nose which Apothic reds can only strive for.
Finished fair on cherry liqueur, licorice, and a warm white pepper spiciness wed to a warm 14.5% alcohol.
Paired well with my rare spiced-rubbed Angus rib eye and dark chocolate dessert.
