Sequoia Grove Napa Valley 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, $38.99-$43.99, 93 points, poured core black with patches of deep Shiraz purple with a clear meniscus and copious deep stained legs.
Profusely aromatic toasty black fruits with a hint of lavender were excellent.
Full-bodied red wine with good acidity and firm grainy tannin sported a cornucopia of that black fruit, herbal, and floral flavors.
Finished long on the fading palate, pomegranate, pepper spices, and an energizing 14.6% alcohol.
