Benvolio Friuli Grave 2014 Pinot Grigio, $5.79-$12.99, 84 points, poured a light brass color.
Aromatic citrus with hints of pome fruit were just okay.
Light-bodied with fair to good acidity carried unremarkable citrus and apple flavors.
Finished consistently as it began: a rather neutral quaffer with an innocuous 12% alcohol.
The sad aspect of drinking this Pinot Grigio is its contrast with yesterday's remarkably excellent fare (Jermann Friuli Venezia Giulia 2014 Pinot Grigio IGT), but one often gets what one pays for.
