Robert Mondavi Napa Valley 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Revisited, $15.56-$29.99 (2021 V. >$50-), 91 points, poured a still vibrant ruby red with just a slight glaze of copper color notes, some sediment, semi-bleeding meniscus, and stained fat legs.
Smells of plums, spices, and flowers were surprisingly good.
This sixteen-year-old Napa Cabernet was full-bodied, showed fair acidity, mostly resolved tannins, round mouthfeel, and good flavors of mint, fennel, red pepper-tinged cherry fruit, plums, and mushrooms.
Finished long on the trailing palate, a bit of iron, and a well-balanced 14% alcohol.
Paired fine with my loaded flatbread pizza.
The last time I had this 2008 wine was twelve years ago, and by my reconning, just as good today as it was then.
