Sotavento Rueda 2022 Verdejo, $9.59-$24.99, 87 points, was a medium straw-yellow color with a broad graying penumbra.
Aromas of lime juice, bright tangerine peel, citrus blossoms, and hints of mint and white chocolate were outstanding.
Light-bodied white wine with flavors of Necco Wafer candy, ginger ale, nondescript citrus notes, a bit tart, and showing good acidity.
Finished fair on the fading palate, a hint of melon rind, and a 13.5% alcohol.
Paired fine with my sardines in olive oil, salt and vinegar wings, and Argentinian cocktail shrimp.
