Riva Di Rocca Prosecco, $11.99-$13.99, 90 points, is the latest embottlement of this Prosecco to arrive at the NHLS, and at a reduced price to boot!
The presentation began typically Prosecco-like with a light copper to gray color, but the aroma seems more orange zest than I'm use to (very nice). The spritz is on the weak side, but the flavor is wonderful citrus with green melon, and maybe just a bit richer than a Prosecco-neutral white wine.
Finishes on the refreshing palate with just a hint of ginger.
With Blue cheese, celery, and hot buffalo wings, this was the perfect "cool-down".

Gotta have a strong spritz! Great price though.
ReplyDeleteVinogirl, I suppose that's why they call it Frizzante!
