Antica Fratta Brut Franciacorta, NV Chardonnay, $29.99-$32.99, 91+ points, poured a light brass color, an explosive head of foam with continuous medium-plus sized bubbles.
Outstanding aromas of pome blossoms, orange peel, and lemon meringue pie impressed.
Light-bodied with good acidity, lip creamy, crisp mid-plate, and a creamy finish.
Flavors were nutty, toasty, and citrusy, with apple and lemon meringue pie notes.
Finished long on ginger, lemon oil, a well-integrated 13% alcohol, and the trailing palate.
