Domaine Massiac 2014 Viognier

Domaine Massiac 2014 Viognier, $16.99, 85 points, was a light brass color trending water clear toward the glass edge.
Smells of stone fruit and a hint of light toasty citrus were okay.
Light-bodied with good acidity and barely hints of the nose on the palate, spoke volumes as to this Viognier's rather neutral flavor profile, though a bit mineral tasting, it could not rise above its less than stellar, varietally challenged and staid character.
The long finish, which was the best this wine had to offer, was slightly floral, intensely gingery, and noticeably high in alcohol (14.5%).
I bought this at McKinnon's Market in Salem, NH.
