Merriam Vineyards Russian River Valley 2015 Pinot Noir Rosé

Merriam Vineyards Russian River Valley 2015 Pinot Noir Rosé, $16.99-$19.99,  91 points, poured a pale maroon color.
Aromatic dusty loam smell accented strawberry, kiwi, and floral aromas.
Light, crisp, appropriately acidic with excellent flavors reflective of the aromas coalesced beautifully.
Finished well on the trailing palate, a sneaky 13.9% alcohol, and warm almost biting white pepper spice notes.
Paired perfectly with my summer-time BLT sandwich.
A real competitor for Provence.

  1. I know this is one of your "go to" wineries, and I'll take your word on how nice this rosé is, but, generally, a rosé of Pinot noir is my least favourite rosé.

Interesting that you say that, as I'm not that fond of Rosé of Pinot noir either, but there's not a lot of domestic Rosés around these parts; so it's catch as catch can; I'd say that French rosés are three times as plentiful here.
Now, to the wine: on Tuesday, I really wanted to link a British group's song here, but unsure of myself, I'll skip it, I posted another domestic vineyard's Rosé of Pinot noir (I rated it a high 89 points, and since you peaked my curiosity, I decide to investigate the topic of 2015 Rosé of Pinot noir, and our SF Chap, SH, rated that wine (glowing review) 88 points! Now, that doesn't directly address the Merriam's Rosé, but does aide my one-off judgment here.
Having said that, I'm grateful for your comment, I won't get my knickers in a twist if you come back with a 01 rating of your own;-)
