Caparzo 2011 Brunello DI Montalcino, $32.29-$37.99, 92+ points, poured a deep ruby with flashes of maroon toward the broad clear wine ring and a slightly leggy glass bowl.
Aromatic cherries, flowers, and cinnamon were excellent.
Medium-plus body, typically food-friendly acidic Sangiovese, and comfortably firm tannins coalesced in managing great flavors of cherries, savory, truffles, and black tea.
Finished long on the black tea, cayenne, and white pepper with a warm 14% alcohol.
Perfect with my spaghetti and meatballs.
