Bersano 'Nirvasco' 2011 Barolo (DOCG), $21.24-$49.99, 91 points, poured a bright orange/red color with a moderately broad wine ring and light draping.
Smells of oak and caramel were strong, drowning out more subtle rose and fresh linen.
Medium-bodied with mouthwatering acidity and grainy gripping tannins managed a rather straight forward spiced and alcohol (14%) inspirited black cherry trailing deep into the long finish accented with oak and plum.
Paired perfectly with our pepperoni pizza.

Acidity sounds fab...so does the pizza pairing :)
