Aromas of sweet black briar fruit and soft juniper were excellent.
Full-bodied Zinfandel, silky smooth like a good Cabernet Sauvignon, showing a mellow underlayment of tannin and luscious flavors of black cherry and blackberry liqueur.
Finished on the fading palate, black licorice, and a well-balanced 15% alcohol.
Paired fine with my meatloaf supper.
Thanks to Lori (you know who you are) for giving me a heads up to the close-out sale on this wine.
