Sauvignon Republic Marlborough 2018 Sauvignon Blanc, $9.99, 89 points, was a very light brass color, but clear toward the glass shallows.
Bright aromas of passion fruit, grapefruit, peppermint, sweet hay, and soft gooseberry with a floral influence were excellent.
Light-bodied white wine with vibrant acidity and fruity flavors driving this refreshing tipple towards excellence minus a somewhat lackluster finish marked by subtle ginger notes and a well-balance 13% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my fried Ipswich whole clams.
