Davis Bynum Russian River Valley Jane's Vineyard 2011 Pinot Noir

Davis Bynum Russian River Valley Jane's Vineyard 2011 Pinot Noir, $21.74-$34.99*, 91 points, appeared quintessential pomegranate red with a very broad transparent rim.
A fair aroma of red cherry, warm earth, and wood notes were layered.
Textured smooth and creamy, this medium-plus bodied red wine carried good acidity, moderate tannin along with a bounty of black cherry, coffee, licorice, and a crisp, almost spritz-like, cola flavors.
Finished with a trailing palate, spice notes, and considerable heat (14.5% alcohol) wrapped-up quite a good wine. Tasted blind, this was our choice of three Pinot Noir wines.

*Price included the $6.25 value of a gift card as a promotional from the NHLS.
