Condado de Haza Ribera del Duero Crianza 2014 Tempanillo (Alejandro Fernandez), $18.69-$21.99, 89 points, poured a deep ruby red grading brighter toward the broad clear rim and glass bowl of light legs.
The nose was an interesting blend of loam, coffee, cedar, and a luscious blackberry.
Medium-plus body showed good acidity and a supportive underlayment of tannin.
Flavors were those which reflected the nose with hints of black licorice.
Finished well on red fruit, mulberry, easy pepper notes, and a potent 14% alcohol.
Paired fine with my Mexican cuisine.
