Pine Ridge 2016 Chenin Blanc + Viognier, $11.99-$14.99, 89 points, poured a medium brass color clearing at the glass edge.
Aromatic passion fruit, lime, tangerine, pome blossoms, and honey notes were generous.
Light-bodied with a bright acidity which enlivened good flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, and the more subtle lemon/lime.
Finished long, tart, and citrusy with a modest 12.5% alcohol.
Paired fine with my hors d'oeuvres, mixed nuts, and Cali pistachio squares (brown rice syrup and cane sugar).

Had a glass of this last night: always quaffable and great value.
ReplyDeleteVG: This is one of those wines where East meets West often enough! Not like Shafer! ;(
