Ridge Lytton Estates 2015 Petite Sirah, $33.14-$38.99, 92 points, poured core black grading a Shiraz purple/red toward the broad clear wine ring and dense stained legs.
Generous aromas of black fruits, cedar, chocolate, and lavender were outstanding.
This silky full-bodied red wine was marked by good acidity and firm grainy tannins.
Flavors of blackberry liqueur, anise, and blueberry pie were rich.
Finished hot with pepper spices, an easy 13% alcohol, and a tangy pomegranate.
Paired well with our onion burgers.
