Château Puyfromage Côtes de Bordeaux Grand Vin De Bordeaux 2020 Red Wine, $13.01-$54.99, 90 points, poured an opaque ruby red with a broad clear meniscus and copious stained legs.
Aromas of sour black currant jam, smoke with hints of cedar, cocoa, and citrus were pleasant.
This Côtes de Bordeaux was full-bodied, dry, showed a solid foundation of tannin, good acidity, and tasty flavors reflective of the nose.
Finished long, showed residual blackberry and iron notes with a well-balanced 14% alcohol.
Varietals were mostly Merlot with dollops of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec.
Paired perfectly with my Texas burger.
