La Grand Comtadine Héritiers Cheron-Misset 2022 Cotes-Du-Rhone Red Wine, $16.99-$44.99, 88 points, poured an opaque ruby red with a bleeding meniscus and sticky glass sheeting.
The dominant red fruit nose was nuanced with alcohol, licorice, and dried herbs with a whisper of a floral vibe.
This Côtes du Rhône was full-bodied, bone-dry, tannic, brightly acidic, spicy and tasty yet a bit astringent.
Finished long on a hot spicy profile with hints of brandy.
Paired okay with my Texas burger.
