Ruffino Modus Toscana I.G.T. 2021 Red Wine, $23.99-$29.99, 91 points, poured an opaque ruby red with a broad clear wine ring and sticky stained legs.
Aromas of savory black fruit nuanced with smoke and cedar were lovely.
This Toscana was full-bodied, bone-dry, showed good acidity, firm tannins, and tasty flavors of blackberry, anise, mint, oak, and cayenne pepper.
Finished long on the fading palate and the big 15% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my Texas burger.
