Baron Des Chartrons Grand Vin De 2009 Bordeaux

Baron Des Chartrons Grand Vin De 2009 Bordeaux, $8.99, 86 points, begins with a ruby to black currant color terminating with a clear rim where the surface touches the glass.
The quite tame aroma of black currant and hints of spiced cherry jam is soft.
Carries a near medium body with good acidity, but mild tannin, a rather thin texture and flavor profile (weak blackberries and boysenberry) manifest some short-comings, though a good overall flavor at this level (nothing unpleasant about this wine).
The finish is medium-long and culminates with spice and some warmth (13.2% alcohol).
As a common table wine, and at this price, I'd recommend.
