Coppo La Rocca 2011 Gavi, $13.99-$16.99, 88 points, almost a water color clear with gray, gold, and copper tones.
A walk through a verdant spring orchard gives the floral citrus nose more meaning.
The near medium body of aggressive acidity is tart with citrus, and though a bit one dimensional cut beautifully through my salmon cakes.
This Gavi seems to have a hint of the Glera grape without the effervescence. Both Gavi and Prosecco white wines have never disappointed; I know, time and tasting will cloud that "sunny-sky" opinion, but for now, if you're looking for refreshment or a wine to accompany seafood, and at an easy on your wallet budget, you almost can't go wrong with these.
The tart finish adds a touch of okay sour grapefruit.
