Wine By Joe (Oregon) 2010 Pinot Noir, $10-$15, 87 points, shines with ruby/orange to light cranberry in color.
There's dusty earth and boysenberry jam on the nose.
The near medium body carries good acidity with mild, even light tannin.
Flavors of tart red cherry and almost bitter pomegranate are interesting, and paired well with milk chocolate, but was less than satisfying with my smoked ham and salad.
The finish amounted to soft spice with a touch of warmth (13.5 alcohol).
