Argyle Willamette Valley 2012 Pinot Noir, $19.99-$29.99*, 88 points, appeared as a crystal-clear cranberry red with a broad transparent rim.
A slight sea-breeze aroma had hints of red cherry and cotton candy, quite quiet yet pleasant.
Juicy dominant red cherry with whimsical watermelon and floral flavors enriched the near medium body of good acidity and light tannin.
Finished long on the trailing palate with hardly a hint of the 13.5% alcohol and spice.
*Price included the $5.00 value of a gift card as a promotional from the NHLS.
