Cambria Julia's Vineyard Santa Maria Valley 2011 Pinot Noir, $16.99-$23.99*, 91 points, began in the glass as a bright ruby trending crystal clear burgundy red with a very broad transparent rim. Bright and pleasant sea-breeze aroma had highlights of red raspberry, red cherry, and a hint of chocolate.
The medium body carried good acidity and mild-plus tannin which provided a good structure to the sleek mouth-feel with a bounty of red cherry, black cherry, and blue fruit.
Finished complex and long with a well integrated 13.5% alcohol, black grape skin, spice, hints of eucalyptus and vanilla.
Cambria wines have yet to disappoint me!
*Price included the $5.00 value of a gift card as a promotional from the NHLS.
