tikal Amorio Mendoza Argentina 2008 Malbec, $22.09-$25.99, 92 points, began in the glass just shy of black trending a Concord grape purple up to the clear rim.
Aromatic warm earth, plum, cinnamon, and cedar were rich and pleasant.
The full body having good acidity and moderate tannin carried the aroma faithfully onto the palate with good cola and coffee notes.
Finished very long on nearly explosive spice (not universally noticed), violets, and some enhancement via the 14% alcohol.
