Chappellet Napa Valley 2013 Chardonnay, $29.99-$34.99, 89 points, was a deep polished gold color trending clear toward the class edge.
First whiffs (cold) were tomato juice, but quickly settled-down with lovely pome, melon, and an unusual floral perfume component, with just a hint of toast.
Medium-plus body carried fair acidity and managed well its citrus flavors with the mirrored aromas.
Finished long with a hint of vanilla, tangerine, white pepper, and a warm 14.5% alcohol.
