Sebastiani Sonoma County 2012 Zinfandel, $9.99-$18.99, 87 points, poured core black with maroon flashes trending purple/red at the broad clear wine ring and leggy glass wall.
Aromatic toasty blue/black grape, cocoa, and blueberry were quite good.
Full-bodied, fair acidity, and mild tannin carried robust flavors of clove, cedar, cinnamon, black cherry cordial, and black licorice.
Finished fair on the trailing palate, a warm 14.5% alcohol, cola, cumin, and cayenne.
