Cecchi Valdelle Rose Litorale 2014 Vermentino, $13.99-$16.99, 90 points, poured a light gold color with a slight green tint.
The melon and flower aromas were good.
Light-plus body was crisp with mouth-watering acidity livening-up flavors of melon, limestone-minerality, and citrus.
Finished well on hints of lime, watermelon rind, white pepper notes, a slightly sour citrus, and a spot-on 13% alcohol, making this Vermentino a rather masculine and assertive white wine.
Paired perfectly with my stuffed Maine lobster with melted butter, and mixed vegetables in a cheddar cheese sauce.

ReplyDeleteJohn, would share the price?
DeleteD, it would be about in your range. I'd say $15-$19 depending where you live and how hard you look.
