Campogiovanni 2014 Rosso Di Montalcino (DOC), $18.69-$21.99, 91 points, poured a bright ruby red with a broad clear wine ring and light glass draping.
Flowers, cherry fruit, hints of chocolate and cedar on the nose were excellent.
On the lighter end of medium-bodied with good acidity and a sufficient underlayment of tannin translated favorably the nose onto the palate.
Finished very long on truffle, red raspberry, easy white pepper, and a soft 13% alcohol.
Paired fine with my Mexican cuisine.
