Senhora Do Convento Douro 2014 Proprietor's Red Blend (Portugal), $15.29-$35.99, 87 points, appeared opaque purple/red with a broad clear rim and thick sticky legs.
Aromas of chocolate, black fruit, and a hint of brine were good.
Fair-plus acidity and soft tannins gave an impression short of the full body-feel.
Flavors of licorice, plum, black olives, and bland black jam were tasty enough, fruity, rich enough, and quite pair-able, just a bit short of character.
Finished well on easy spice notes and a balanced 13.5% alcohol.
Excellent red table wine intended as an inconspicuous adjunct to the meal (JMO).
