Château Le Thil Comte Clary Pessac-Léognan 2016 Bordeaux Red Wine

Château Le Thil Comte Clary Pessac-Léognan 2016 Bordeaux Red Wine, $27.19-$31.99, 90 points, poured an opaque cranberry red with a violet sheen, moderate stained legs, and a broad clear meniscus.
Aromas of cinnamon, clove, plums, and red raspberry were excellent.
This full-bodied dry red wine began silky smooth which was transformed from the unnoticed upfront and hidden tannin into a more racy, almost austere tipple; acidity was fair and flavors of black plums, anise, and blackberry cordial were quite good along with that transformation, but mid palate was a bit thin.
Finished long on the trailing late palate, iron, a lively red pepper, intensifying tannin, and a bit of alcohol heat (14%).
Paired well with my pepper-jack cheeseburger.
