Marchesi Frescobaldi Tenuta Perano 2016 Chianti Classico (DOCG)

Marchesi Frescobaldi Tenuta Perano 2016 Chianti Classico (DOCG), $19.99-$26.99, 91 points, poured a dark and deep ruby, a shade-off of being blood red with low-hanging stained legs and a bleeding clear meniscus.
Aromas of black cherry concentrate, clove, cinnamon, and a floral vibe were rich and fragrant.
A heavier than  medium-bodied dry red wine with good acidity and a firm grainy underlayment of tannin sufficient to support rich round flavors which followed the aromas, and a smooth luscious texture made for a balanced gestalt.
Finished long on the fading palate, iron, black tea, tart black cherry, spicy pepper, and a well-balanced 13.5% alcohol.
Paired fine with my stuffed shells and meatballs in a marinara sauce.
