Tenuta Guado al Tasso (Antinori) Bolgheri Il Bruciato 2018 D.O.C. Red Wine, $22.94-$30.99, 92 points, poured a deep purple/red with a garnet red penumbra, clear wine ring, and moderately heavy legs.
Aromas of of ripe black raspberry, roses, alcohol-carried cinnamon, and milk chocolate were rich and lovely.
A full-bodied dry (not too) red wine with a soft round texture, rich and luscious, acidity was fair, tannins simply supportive, and flavors followed the richness of the texture and aromas with anise and easy alcohol-infused spices.
Finished long on the trailing palate, plum, and tart red raspberry.
Paired well with our provincial cheese burgers.
