Domaine J. A. Ferret 2019 Pouilly Fuissé, $28.89-$35.99, 91 points, was a medium straw yellow color and grading clear only at the rim.
Aromas of tart apple, soft lemon curd, wet stones, and hints of white grape were good but unremarkable.
This Pouilly Fuissé was dry, medium-bodied, tart, crisp with acid, lively with white pepper and ginger, and quite steely.
Finished with flavors of oak, lemon, that lively ginger, and a spot-on 13.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my lobster pie and baked haddock.
