Aubert Et Fils Brut Champagne, $24.966-$34.68, 90 points, was a light brass color and clearing towards the rim, showed an appropriate head of foam and small bubbles.
The Carb apple aroma was well nuanced with smells of white bread and NECCO wafers.
This Champagne was light, brightly acidic, and tasty with flavors reflective of the aromas plus hints of caramel and lemon zest.
Finished long on the fading palate, green melon rind, ginger, and a well-balanced 12% alcohol.
One of my go-to wines with hotdogs (all beef), and this one did not let me down.
