Aromas of blackberries, loam, shoe polish, leather, and a hind of cardamon were pleasant.
This Golden Reserve was rich, full-bodied, and showed fair acidity with an up-front soft mouthfeel (easy tannins), and developing intensity marked by a greater sense of tannin, spice, and prolonged flavors of blackberry, eucalyptus, Lingonberry, and black cherry.
Finished long, finished appropriately on 14% alcohol.
Paired fine with our veggie chili.
